The customer has the right to use Asiakastieto's databases in Omatieto services to make credit information and person in charge information inquiries with the restrictions mentioned below during Asiakastieto's service hours.
In the Data Guard (Tietovahti) service, the customer obtains information on credit information inquiries directed at them.
Asiakastieto's services are primarily intended for the customer's own use.
The customer is given a restricted right to use the information.
Disclosure of information, resale of information and publishing in information networks or other publications is prohibited, unless the matter has been expressly agreed in advance in writing between Suomen Asiakastieto Oy and the customer. For example, Internet services open to everyone and restricted by user IDs are considered as publishing in information networks.
When publishing or reselling information provided by Asiakastieto, the data source must always be mentioned.
Asiakastieto retains full ownership, copyright, and other intellectual property rights to the information it provides.
Asiakastieto conveys information from its databases in strict confidence. The customer undertakes to comply with data protection and to process data in accordance with the law and regulations.
The credit information of other persons may be requested and used only for the purposes specified in the Credit Information Act. Through the Other persons' credit information service, the company discloses personal credit information for the following legal purposes:
The purposes of use are listed and explained in the service on the page where the search factors of the subject of inquiry are asked.
The extracts My Credit Report (Minun luottotiedot), Me as Person in Charge (Minä vastuuhenkilönä) and Own Score (Luottoluokkani) may only be enquired for purposes in accordance with Section 19 of the Credit Information Act.
The transfer of personal data outside the EU and EEA countries without the grounds mentioned in the law is prohibited.
By purchasing an extract or service, the user also accepts the terms of use of the service and the inquirer also assures that they have a legal basis for requesting the information and assures that the stated purpose of use is correct.
Inquiring personal credit information without the grounds mentioned in the law (for example out of curiosity) or giving the wrong purpose of use is punishable by law.
The person has the right to find out where the information stored in the credit information register comes from and to whom the personal credit information concerning them has been disclosed in the last 12 months.
By inspecting your own information in the Omatieto Service, a person can check their own credit information once in 12 months free of charge by strongly identifying themselves. In connection with the inspection, we save the person's name, personal identity number, e-mail, and the date when the inspection was carried out.
The customer has the right to set a credit ban only for themselves. If a person sets a credit ban to another person, they are guilty of a crime or violation.
The credit ban reduces the possibility of identity misuse. However, it does not prevent all abuses. The customer has an obligation to monitor possible misuse of their identity and to react to misuse immediately.
The credit ban does not remove the customer's responsibility for misuse of their identity. Asiakastieto is not responsible in any way for damages caused by misuse of identity.
In Data Guard Service, the customer can inspect the products Own credit information extract (Oma luottotieto-ote), Me as person in charge (Minä vastuuhenkilönä) report and Own Score report (Luottoluokkani). From the Data Guard report included in the service, the customer receives information about the credit information inquiry directed at them, which has been made to Asiakastieto's credit information register. The Data Guard report does not reveal the credit information inquiries made to the credit information register of possible other controllers.
With the Data Guard service, the customer can monitor their own credit information, person in charge positions, credit score and the use of their credit information. However, the service does not prevent possible abuses. The customer has an obligation to monitor the possible misuse of their identity and react to the misuse immediately. Using the service does not remove the customer's responsibility for the misuse of their identity. Asiakastieto is not responsible in any way for damages caused by misuse of identity.
The Data Guard service also includes Credit Data Guard (Luottotietovahti), with which the customer receives a notification of changes in their credit information. The service notifies by e-mail that there has been a change in the credit information and the person can check the change in their credit information. Information about the change is not saved in the reports.
The customer of the Data Guard service can, if they wish, activate Online Guard (Onlinevahti) after logging into the service. Online Guard is offered on behalf of Asiakastieto by the company Mehrwerk AB. When activating Online Guard, the customer accepts the terms of use of the Online Guard service.
The annual subscription to the Data Guard service is valid for 12 months at a time. If the customer does not want to continue the service after the end of the period, they can leave the new period unpaid, and the service ends when the paid period is over.
The service ordered as a continuous monthly subscription continues until the customer cancels the subscription. Cancelling the subscription ends the service to the end of the paid subscription period.
If the service has been purchased at a reduced price during a campaign period, the discount only applies to the period mentioned in the campaign. After the campaign, the next period of the service continues at the normal price.
In the My Credit Information 24/7 (Luottotietoni 24/7) service, the customer can inspect their own reports My Credit Information, Own Score and Participations in Companies. The reports are available to the customer as long as the subscription is in force.
The annual subscription to the My Credit Information 24/7 service is valid for the time being for 12 months at a time. If the customer does not want to continue the service after the end of the period, they can leave the new period unpaid, and the service ends when the paid period is over. The service ordered as a continuous monthly subscription continues until the customer cancels the subscription. Cancelling the subscription ends the service until the end of the paid subscription period. If the service has been purchased at a reduced price during a campaign period, the discount only applies to the period mentioned in the campaign. After the campaign, the next period of the service continues at the normal price.
The Own Score Report uses the person's age in addition to the person's credit and business information in the modelling. The Own Score Report information is not stored or disclosed to third parties. When storing other personal data obtained in connection with the purchase of the service, such as personal identity number and name, Suomen Asiakastieto Oy's Description of File on the Customer Register is followed (Personal Data Act 523/99 § 10).
Buying the Own Score Report requires giving consent to Suomen Asiakastieto Oy to retrieve a person's credit report and use credit information in addition to company and personal information to create the Own Score Report. The Own Score Report is created only for the subscribing person. If the person has no payment defaults or other registry entries, the given information only describes the credit risk probability for such persons on a general level.
The inquirer of personal credit information must notify the subject of inquiry in advance of the use of the information when the inquiry is made.
The inquirer must tell the subject of inquiry where the registry data is obtained from (Suomen Asiakastieto's credit information registry).
The notification can be made verbally or in writing before acquiring the data.
If a credit application is rejected due to credit information, the subject of inquiry must also be informed of this.
The inquirer of a person's credit information must process personal information carefully. It is allowed to use a person's credit information only for the purpose for which it was requested.
The information must be destroyed when it is no longer necessary.
The inquirer of the data must be able to determine the purpose of use of the data, if necessary, for 13 months from the date of making the request.
Illegal processing of data is a punishable act.
Asiakastieto follows good registry practice in its operations by using reliable data sources. Asiakastieto is not responsible for errors occurring in the assignments performed for the customer or databases, or for indirect or indirect damages that may be caused by a delay in the service.
Asiakastieto is not responsible for possible damages to the customer if Asiakastieto has to prevent the customer's access to the databases due to the customer's action or negligence, or if the use of the databases is prevented by a force majeure over which Asiakastieto cannot influence.
The service is available to the customer when the customer has paid for the requested service using an available payment method.
The prices of the services are in their introductory texts. The prices include the value-added tax.
The payment service provider is Verifone Finland Oy (0943819-9). Verifone Finland Oy is a payment institution licensed by the Financial Supervisory Authority. Verifone Finland Oy, which forwards the payments to the merchant, appears as the recipient of bank and card payments on the account statement and possible card invoices.

The service cannot be cancelled after the delivery of the service has started (Consumer Protection Act, Chapter 6, Section 16). A continuous monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time. The subscription is valid until the last paid day and ends if the cancellation is made during the paid period before the start of the next period.
Asiakastieto has the right to change the content and operating methods of its databases and files when the services are developed or when the laws, official regulations or personnel contracts concerning Asiakastieto's operations change.
Asiakastieto has the right, without an obligation to compensate, to take its database out of use during the service period, if database maintenance or service requires it. Asiakastieto tries to notify in advance of a service interruption based on such a reason.
These terms of use are valid for the time being. The customer declares that they accept and comply with these terms of use before requesting information.
